As a jazz and improvisation workshop tutor, I coach aspiring jazz musicians of all ages and abilities, building jazz repertoire and methods of improvisation.

Professional Bass Player
As a freelance bass player I perform many styles of music in a variety of situations e.g. touring pop and rock groups, function / wedding bands, tribute shows, theatre productions and recording sessions. I specialise in jazz and improvised music performing alongside some of the worlds leading musicians in this field at prestigious venues and festivals. I compose and record music for my own critically acclaimed quintet, ACV, and tour extensively across the UK.

Andy Champion is a multi-talented musician and teacher. As well as bass lessons, he is also the Musicstart music theory teacher. He is more than qualified to take you from grades 1 to 8 to give you a full understanding of the language of music. This will greatly complement your sight reading during your chosen instrument lessons. If you would like more information, please contact Oliver.
